This time, our focus is nasi kandar Kampung Melayu, Jalan Pisang Tanduk, Kampung Melayu, Air Itam, Penang, which is very popular among the people of Penang. In fact, the preoccupation of nasi kandar is also appreciated by visitors from outside who sometimes deliberately come early to Kampung Melayu just to enjoy this nasi kandar. Opened early in the morning, it serves fried chicken in large size, plump squid filled with spicy cooked eggs as well as a variety of other delicious side dishes. There are also goat curry, fish curry, shrimp, meat and others. It is difficult to determine the popular dishes because almost all of them are very appetizing.

Recently opened by husband and wife – Pak Cik Naza and Kak Dewi, they both quit their previous jobs and decided to open food stall to sustain their livelihood. After surveying around the SS15 area, they decided to learn how to make Apam Balik and hope to sell it to locals living around the area.

Just a few weeks in, Pak Cik Naza and Kak Dewi’s Apam Balik stall has garnered some regulars and they are gaining popularity too. All of their Apam Balik are made-to-order and customers can choose from three (3) types: Plain (RM3.50), Peanut & Corn (RM4.50), and Peanut (RM4.00). CHAR KOAY TEOW SUNGAI DUA

The Char Koay Teow river two has been operating since 1997, proving that it is indeed a legend. Its char kuey teow is praised as delicious by many and is definitely satisfying.

The relaxed atmosphere makes many customers comfortable to spend time with family or friends here. Cleanliness and service are also solid!

Char kway teow is a Chinese -inspired fried noodle dish from Maritime Southeast Asia. In Hokkien and Teochew, Char means “sauteed” and kway teow refers to flat rice noodles.
It is basically flat rice noodles fried with shrimp, bloody scallops, Chinese cheong lap (sausage), eggs, bean sprouts and chives in a soy sauce mixture.

The great Char Kuey Teow dish is seasoned not only with the freshest ingredients, but just as important is the elusive charred aroma of frying noodles over a very high flame in a well-spiced Chinese pan. Come here and try, I definitely want more.
